At its April 18th 2018 meeting guest speaker Chief CBP Officer Kurt Tennant from U.S. Department of  Homeland Security, Area Port of Alexandria Bay discussed CBP (Customs and Border Protection) Roam. A mobile passport control App that allows travelers a new, more convenient way to report their U.S. entry to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Does not require pre-approval and is free to use.  This App offers three advantages: 1) Decreased wait times: Report your arrival without waiting at OARS videophone booth or on the 1-800 number; 2) Increased Convenience: Use an iPad or your smartphone to report your U.S. arrival to a CBP Officer via video chat; 3) Reusable Profiles: Save time by creating a profile on login.gov that can be used for repeat entries.
